[Shinagawa] Sengaku-ji

Sengaku-ji: A Temple Steeped in History

If you are into Japanese History you may have heard the name of
the forty-seven Rōnin. Sengaku-ji is the final resting place where 47 Samurai committed suicide by disembowelment “Harakiri” ”Seppuku”

Their wooden graves are located in a small graveyard behind the main temple and people even now people burn incense to show respect.

Sengakuji is a fascinating spot with abundant history that attracts many people from all over Japan as well as foreigners.
