[Hachioji] Yakuōin Yukiji Temple

Mount Takao is located western part of Tokyo and is known as the easiest accessible mountain from the hustle and bustle city center. Takaosan Yakuōin Yukiji Temple is located foothill of Mount Takao and this temple served as a base for spreading Buddhism in the region founded in 744 by Emperor Shomu. One of the unique features of Takaosan Yakuōin Yukiji Temple is its harmonious integration with the natural surroundings and you can find this temple in the middle of your hiking course. Enjoy the winds through the lush forests of Mount Takao.
If trekking or hiking is not your thing, You can take a cable car for short cut, However, still required to climb up the hill for another 20 minutes at least to get to the temple. The weather in the Mountain is super changeable so be sure to dress properly.
