【November】Otori Matsuri at Hanazono Shrine in 2024
The Otori Matsuri at Hanazono Shrine is a traditional Japanese festival held annually in November to pray for business prosperity. It’s one of the three major Otori Matsumis in the Kanto region, along with those held at the Ōkunitama Shrine in Fuchu City and the Ōtori Shrine in Asakusa.
What to expect at the event:
- Bear Claw (Kumade): A traditional good luck charm that symbolizes the raking in of wealth and happiness.
- Food Stalls: A variety of delicious street food is available, such as yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and mitarashi dango (sweet rice dumplings).
- Events: Various events and performances are held throughout the festival, including traditional Japanese music and dance.
