【January】Meguro River Minna no Illumination 2024

The Meguro River Minna no Illumination 2024 is a winter tradition held in the Osaki and Gotanda areas of Shinagawa Ward. This eco-friendly event features 100% self-generated power, using biodiesel fuel made from recycled cooking oil collected from local households and restaurants.

Event Details:

• Dates: November 15, 2024 (Fri) – January 13, 2025 (Mon, Holiday)
• Lighting Hours: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Held rain or shine, except during extreme weather)
• Location: Shinagawa Gotanda Fureai Riverside Square and along Meguro River
• Access: A 6-minute walk from either JR Osaki Station or Gotanda Station
• Admission: Free

The cherry blossom trees along the Meguro River are decorated with approximately 350,000 cherry blossom-colored LED lights, creating a stunning 2.2-kilometer-long “Winter Cherry Blossom®” pathway.
